BOONVILLE 17 December 2009—GlenMartin, Inc., a world leader in telecommunications infrastructure, has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 quality certification for its entire range of manufacturing and corporate activities. ISO 9001:2008 is a global benchmark used by an elite group of organizations in 175 countries, and is the framework for a best-in-class quality management system.
“This certification fully validates GlenMartin's policy of giving top priority to customer satisfaction, and our dedication to being a benchmark provider of quality products and services,” stressed Sandra Martin, company president. “Implementing a robust and efficient Quality Management System for all of our activities is a key component in our drive for continuous improvement, and to ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards,” she added.
“Having obtained the certificate of compliance with the international quality management system standard ISO 9001:2008, GlenMartin has strengthened its market position as a leader in the Tower Industry, and proved the strong competitiveness of our organization,” commented Tatum Martin, vice president of operations.
The certification was overseen by Quality Manager, Charles Taylor. A critical step in the certification process was putting together a steering committee that represented each of GlenMartin’s departments.
“The goal was to get a uniform commitment and involvement in the task,” Taylor said. “As the project took shape, all of GlenMartin’s employees became involved. It is through this outstanding teamwork that we have achieved the success of ISO 9001:2008 certification.”
