Why Cut Tires in Half?

Cutting tires on the circumference has a practical value. Most state laws allow a tire cut in this way to be put in a landfill. National legislation is on its way which may allow the same. It is an option of the local landfill to accept tires in this form. It is also economical to transport cut tires since they occupy 1/2 to 1/3 the space of uncut tires. We guarantee the blade to last 5000 cuts. Futures blades are interchangeable in minutes. We are confident ERIT will not only pay for itself, but make you money.

How does it work?

An uncut tire is set in place ready to be cut. The operator then depressed the foot valve. An air cylinder inside ERIT moves the tire up into the cutting knife. Just when the knife meets the tire the motor turns on automatically, and the cutting begins. At the end of the cut, the operator releases the foot valve, the horn lowers, and the two tire halves are discarded.

How much space is required?

Notice the compact design. The ERIT can be placed along a wall and occupy a space of only 32 inches wide by 22 inches deep by 63 inches high. A power cord is supplied, however, the machine should have its own dedicated circuit to assure full voltage and power. There is a 1/4 IPS thread near the bottom so your air line fitting can be used to supply air pressure.

Two 235/86 R16, ten ply tires cut in half and stacked together. Total cutting time for both tires, less than one minute. Tires cut in half occupy less than half the space as uncut tires and when stacked with the cut edge down, do not accumulate water either.
