| Purchasing a tower and antenna system can be a very intimidating process. However, GME, Inc. makes it easy with a variety of tower packages which include most everything required to install a complete setup. When deciding which tower is best for you, consider your unique needs. Ask yourself these questions...
What type of antennas would you like
your tower to support?
The larger the antenna, the stronger the tower must be. Check the windload rating for your antenna, and compare
it with the tower. Make sure that the
tower is rated at wind loads of 87 mph or greater. Most
manufacturers sell towers rated at only 50 mph. However, no
location in the country is rated below 70 mph. All of GME's
towers are rated at 87 mph, which provides accurate information
about the strength of the tower.
What part of the country do you live in? What is the weather like?
Various parts of the country experience stronger wind gusts than others. Use the chart on the previous page to determine the wind load rating for your area. Also, customers living along the coast would
want to make sure that the tower materials will hold up to the
salty environment. Many already avoid this problem by using Glen
Martin's
anodized aluminum tower, since it’s manufactured to be corrosion and rust free!
Consider the workmanship & quality of the tower.
Many tower manufacturers offer a reduced price product; however, quality is lacking. As the old saying goes, ‘you get what you pay for’. Only Glen Martin Engineering, Inc. goes the extra mile to manufacture a tower that is not only strong, but durable as well. Get the best buy for your dollar!
